Virtual Window was inspired by a live web application at my former workplace, which took snapshots outside of the building. The purpose of the application is to allow employees a peek at the outside world, as the offices have no windows. I was amused by the idea that this “app” is meant to act as a stand in for the real thing and aim to pose the question whether this is an adequate substitute.
