2021; Video Installation (digital video, projection film, projection mapping software)

This video installation explores the limitations of perception and memory. By projecting a variety of everyday objects onto a glass wall, I aim to question “default” assumptions of embodiment—like the height of a light switch—to see the ways these familiar objects become unfamiliar when their context is changed. I wanted to see what bodily experience something as ubiquitous as a light switch would create if its physical relationship to our body was changed. The piece itself becomes a frame for the work behind it and acts as a threshold where the viewer must transition from one state of mind to another.
