Constructions is an ongoing photographic series that explores the unstable boundary between bodies, architecture, and imagined environments. I construct sculptural forms from casts of my arms, architectural fragments, and, more recently, ceramic objects that bend, sag, lean, and resist familiar structural logic. I then photograph these forms using colored light, reflection, projection, and constructed environments to destabilize their scale and materiality.
The resulting images hover between documentation and fiction. Objects can appear simultaneously bodily and architectural, monumental and miniature, familiar and difficult to place. As the series has developed, the photographs have become increasingly world-like, combining physical and digital elements to suggest spaces that seem to extend beyond the frame. Rather than depicting a complete or knowable environment, the works offer fragments of speculative worlds shaped by instability, memory, support, and collapse.
